Akka with java 1.8

Hi Team,

Does Akka 2.6 work with java 1.8 project? I dont see any such information in release docs but just want to confirm as I am facing couple issues while upgrading Akka in my application from 2.4 to 2.6.

Yes akka 2.6.x does support java 8. Please have a look at this page: Certified Java versions • Akka module versions.

The first release of akka that did NOT support java 8 anymore is akka 2.9.0.
